Paranormal Investigating can be traced back to the early 19th Century. In fact, March 31, 1848 is considered to be the "birth" of paranormal investigators with the story of the Fox sisters; Maggie, Kate and Leah. The term "Paranormal" was first coined in the American language around ca.1915-1920.

Dimension Paranormal Investigators (DPI) is technically based in New York City, but has traveled all over the country in search of paranormal truth. We capture evidence and expose the reality that life DOES exist after death and spirits DO live among us here on earth.

Our investigations are traditionally old abandoned institutions, reformatories, insane asylums, and infamous other locations. DPI is also available to conduct investigations in private homes and estates.

The group is technically staffed with the latest equipment in paranormal investigating such as the px box, HD night vision video cameras, dvr systems, spirit box, emf detectors, and enhanced digital recorders.

M y name is Luci Leibfried. I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I have always been interested in the paranormal. I am a tarot card reader and I also have an ability to feel emotions of others. I have read tarot cards on radio in the Chicago market back in the 90's. All of this plus a couple of early paranormal experiences has led me to my present passion for ghost hunting. Just by chance on a Friday night in 2009, I was flipping channels and came across a TV show that changed my life. It was Ghost Adventures. I could not take my eyes off the screen. I wanted to do what they were doing! Since I first saw that show I have had the opportunity to meet and investigate with so many awesome people including Nick, Zak and Aaron. My first investigation was at Eastern State Penitentiary in June 2010 with Darkness Radio and the Ghost Adventures Crew. Since then I have investigated with GAC again at Mansfield Reformatory (September 2010) and at the Stanley Hotel (March 2011). During my trips I met several amazing people who have the same drive and appetite for the paranormal. We work so well together we became 5th Dimension Paranormal. I am proud to be a part of such a talented and fun group. I treasure my friendships within the group and most of all my official title of "Trigger Object and Bait". My favorite piece of equipment is the Spirit Box. I have been able to use the box at the Stanley Hotel and also at Bachelors Grove Cemetery with amazing results. I look forward to using it again with the team at Bobby Mackeys in June and at Rolling Hills Asylum in September.

Growing up as a child, movies and television shows portrayed ghosts as evil, scary and something to fear. Even cartoons like Scooby Doo always had the bad guy dressed up in some sort of ghost or zombie costume after stealing the family jewels. I always wondered why there weren't any "good" ghosts. on tv. Why aren't there any programs that show the good side of the after life? It wasn't until the movie GHOST with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore where you got to see the other side of crossing over portrayed as nothing less then one spirit wanting to communicate with another.

I've always had a connection with learning about things that have not or cannot be fully explained: UFO's, Ancient Egypt, Mayan Civilization, Atlantis, Spirits and Ghosts, etc. I may not believe in everything that is written or documented but discovering new history or new evidence intrigues me to the point of wanting to research on my own, to not rely on others to try and convince me in either direction, fact or false.

Being introduced to the paranormal investigative world in 2009, has opened my inquisitive nature even further. It's the hands on experience that allows me to create my own thoughts and conclusions. I have seen and heard many things with my own eyes and ears that I just cannot explain. Many people may think this is weird and not normal, but I say who cares. We all are going to die one day and know for sure what the after life really means. Until then, seeking the truth and sharing it with others is what I will continue to do.

Rolling Hills AsylumEast Bethany, NYThe Rolling Hills Asylum is considered to be one of the most popular real haunted places in America. This particular structure was originally opened in the year of 1827. In its earliest days, this haunted building was used as a refuge for individuals that were not well off financially. Many have referred to it during this time as a “Poor Farm” based on this fact. It was not at all uncommon to find many troubled individuals staying at the structure in the 1800s. Examples of those you may have seen residing at the facility include, but are not limited to: the mentally ill, children that were considered to be orphans, those that suffered from alcoholism, and even those that committed violent crimes against others – such as murderers. In this haunted places to go guide, you will be introduced to the Rolling Hills Asylum. The History of Rolling Hills AsylumThe Rolling Hills Asylum originally opened by the government in order to offer various types of support and even housing for individuals that were considered to be needy in one way or another. Poorhouses were considered to be common in both the 19th century as well as the 20th century in the United States. Individuals that were considered to have the capability were required to conduct work on the grounds which the structure was located. These types of structures were all over the United States. In the 1930s, the program for Social Security started and these structures were not as common as they once were. In the year of 1826, the group known as the “Genesee County Board of Supervisors” met and agreed that Bethany needed a county wide poorhouse. They voted for this structure. Despite the fact that the building was typically used as a stagecoach tavern, it was ideal due to the fact that it was considered to be the exact center of the county geographically. By the 9th day of December in the year of 1826, the following information pertaining to who qualified to stay at the structure was released in the local newspaper, the “Betavia Times”:“Habitual drunkards, lunatics (one who by disease, grief or accident lost the use of reason or from old age, sickness or weakness was so weak of mind as to be incapable of governing or managing their affairs), paupers (a person with no means of income), state paupers (one who is blind, lame, old or disabled with no income source) or a vagrant.”As time progressed, additional structures were incorporated onto the building. The additional structures assisted in keeping those with severe mental illnesses away from others, as well as those that did not follow the appropriate rules for conduct. The individuals that governed the structure eventually created rules that ordered those suffering from severe cases of insanity to be relocated and ordered to another specialized institution in the state of New York. Individuals that were permitted to reside at the facility were referred to as “inmates”. It did not matter why the resident was ordered to stay there. If the inmate was physically and mentally able, they had the responsibility of tending to the cultivation of crops, care of animals, and other chores on the farm. The ParanormalIn the 1990s, the Rolling Hills Asylum building was purchased and then transformed into a shopping center with several stores. As time progressed, it became a mall that specialized in antiques. Eventually, strange situations started to occur. This was the beginning of the era when individuals would consider this structure as one of the most active of real haunted places in America. Many individuals recall hearing voices that were considered to be disembodied, while others reported seeing shadow people. It was not at all uncommon for someone to report hearing distant screams throughout the night, and even reporting seeing doors shutting by themselves or having doors being held closed on them. The following represents other paranormal experiences that are said to occur in this haunted structure:• In the room that is identified by locals as the “Christmas Room”, it is common to find that the toys are being moved from one location to another with absolutely no explanation. • Many individuals often hear footsteps coming from above the 2nd floor ceiling despite the fact that there is no floor above that room. • Disembodied voices have been heard in the kitchen area as well as the meat locker region of the area. • A male apparition and shadows that appear to be male have been observed by many visitors and employees alike.

This Historic Grand Dame Resort was opened in 1909. A majestic, Federal-style structure with an imposing front portico supported by massive 30-foot columns, The Otesaga was designed by Architect Percy Griffin and was named for the Iroquois word for “ A Place of Meetings.” This magnificent hotel occupies 700 feet of lakefront on the southern shore of Lake Otsego (also known as the “Glimmerglass” lake of James Fenimore Cooper’s Leatherstocking Tales) in Cooperstown, New York. Avid golfers, vacationers and others have been drawn to the resort for its beautiful scenic surroundings, elegant accommodations, and enjoyable resort atmosphere since it first opened its doors. Some believe it has also drawn the attention of a few ghosts.Guests have reported hearing children playing and/or giggling in the third floor hallway (From 1920 until 1954, the hotel was a private girl’s school known as the Knox School for Girls.). Voices have been heard in the Glimmerglass Room. Apparitions have been seen walking hand-in-hand in period clothing. Staff have heard their names being called from unseen sources. A security officer has heard people walking above him on the second and third floors. He says he also hears a music box between the second and third floors. Beds made on the 3rd floor are found messed up shortly after. Of all the experiences reported, nothing seems malevolent in any way. Just long time guests enjoying their stay at The Otesaga Resort Hotel.

Bobby Mackey's Music World by Luci LeibfriedJust across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, there is the small town of Newport, KY. It is a lovely town, full of hotels, restaurants, little shops and tourists. On any Saturday in June, you will find people strolling the streets, going to dinner, stopping for some shopping, even head back across the river to catch a Red’s game. The atmosphere is nice, happy and you feel like you are really on vacation. If you follow York Street south to 12th street, turn right and keep following 12th until it curves and goes up a hill; it will turn into Licking Pike. Licking Pike heads into Wilder, Kentucky. As you drive further around the curve, the atmosphere changes. It begins to feel different. There are trees on one side of the road, railroad tracks on the other. Suddenly you really feel like you are in the south. You also feel something else. Something you just cannot place your finger on. There are very few buildings. Gone are the bright happy colors and tourists of Newport. You finally see a drab grey building with a big red sign. The first sight of it makes you hold your breath for a second. Bobby Mackey’s. The building which was once a meat processing plant, a factory for moonshine that made its way up to Chicago and Capone’s mob, the site of a brutal beheading of a poor pregnant girl by the father of the child she was carrying, the place where a girl name Johanna still wanders mourning her lost love who was murdered by her own father. This is the place known as the most haunted nightclub in the United States. This was 5th Dimension Paranormal’s first visit to the famous honky-tonk. We were not going to be disappointed. We had heard the countless claims of paranormal activity and attacks; the possession. There were the TV shows which chronicled the investigations of different paranormal investigators. This is the place where a sign which warned patrons that you entered at your own risk. The original sign was stolen by someone looking for a souvenir of the place that has a hole in the ground called the “gateway to Hell”. Our team headed to the bar on Saturday June 4th. The gravel parking lot to the side of the place is the first clue, that this is not just any bar. Deep crevices run across the lot from the rain which comes down from the mountain side, making leaving the parking lot after a night of drinking and dancing at the club an experience in itself. We were going to a “meet and greet” with Brad and Barry Klinge, formerly of Ghost Lab. Bigger than life and just as handsome, the Klinge Brothers are really nice and friendly guys who like talking to their fans. One does not feel like they are bothered by a request for a picture or to answer a question. Barry Klinge explained that this event was not a sponsored event, but simply a way to investigate Bobby Mackey’s with their fans. He stated they had never been there and was just as excited as we were to get started. Out team sat and talked with the guys and eventually moved about the bar to get a feel of the place we would be investigating the next night. When you come into the front door of the bar you see a new sign which warns patrons, but the original sign had not been yet been recovered. You enter the bar area which feels like it has never changed since the 1930’s. We found out later that it never had. The original chairs still are there. The bathrooms are on the left, a dance floor and tables straight ahead and to your right pool table and a back room with a mechanical bull. There is the small stage where Bobby still performs along with countless other Country and Western acts. When you actually see the bar and the places that have been featured on TV and in many other books, on the web, you almost have to pinch yourself to believe you are really here. The back room with the impressive mechanical bull that was featured in the movie Urban Cowboy, is dark and seems so far away from the bar in front. Apparently this is the area where deals and negotiations were made in regards to the moonshine that was once made in the basement. On this Saturday night the place was jumping. Several bachelorette parties were in attendance. Bridesmaids and brides to be with banners proclaiming their titles climbed onto the bull, to be cheered on by the men playing pool in the back room. Two members of our team climbed on, conquering the massive machine. The evening went by quickly and the team left only to spend a great amount of time attempting to exit the full parking lot. The team returned to Mackey’s the next night to investigate. We were ushered in by a side door and gathered in the bar area. There was pizza and a birthday cake for one of the investigators. We were met by a lovely lady named Wanda Kay. Ms. Kay is the resident historian of Bobby Mackey’s. She is currently finishing a book that will be published shortly about Mackey’s and its history. She started by going over the location. The bar is located on sacred Cherokee burial grounds. It also is built over a fault line, which helps to create energy which may be part of the reason for all of the activity in the building. We learned about the men’s bathroom and the nasty entity that dwells within. We did an EVP session in that bathroom. The Ovilus was used. Many words came out. The energy was heavy. I felt a weakness in my legs and body after I told the entity he was not welcome to use my energy. I felt immediately that he did not like me. I left my team in the room. They continued the EVP session with excellent results. There is the stage area and the small room over the stage where Johanna is known to hide sometimes. If you climb the ladder to peer into the walkway, sometimes you will see something rush towards you. Members of the team climbed the ladder and took some photos. There were not allowed to step on the walkway. There are the red couches one the side of the stage where famous entertainers sat and waited their turn before going on stage. There is a photo on our website in which a white mist appears right next to one of the team members while she is sitting on one of the red couches. On one side of the back room is the safe room where there are spirits of the men who guarded the moonshine money. If you go into the room and tell them you are going to take their money they will let you know that you will not be taking anything. I was lucky enough to do a spirit box session in this room with Ms. Kay and two other investigators. After we told the spirits we were going to bring others into the room to take the money, unless they told us no, we heard the word “no”. We asked if they wanted us to leave. “yes”. The front of the main room has an area where there is known to be a negative energy. This was supposed to be the VIP area where the previous night’s meet and greet was being held, but amazingly everyone moved away from that area before we knew about the negative feelings. There is the small apartment where Carl the caretaker was possessed. The floor is very weak and access to that area is limited if at all. A room off to one side of the bar contains the pool tables and souvenirs. The Klinge Brothers set up base camp in there. Back on our tour, Ms. Kay took us outside and around to the basement. There is no way to enter from the bar area. We walked around the back near the railroad tracks which were a direct line to Chicago for the moonshine. There is north flowing Licking River, one of only two rivers in the world that flow northward just beyond the tracks. The door leading to the basement was opened and in we went for our first look at the area we heard so much about. When you first walk in it looks like any other basement. That is until you stop and feel the air. The lights were still on for our first visit downstairs. There is the back area of the basement where the dressing rooms are located. Johanna’s dressing room still has roses in it for her. There are countless unused items, and old popcorn machine, wood, fixtures all around the main room of the basement. In the back area a black shadow figure is seen. On this night after we came back down with the lights off to investigate, we were not disappointed. A white mist is seen on one side of the room while on the other a black figure appears in one photo, and then it is gone in the next. To the side are two more areas, one leads to the well which legend has it the head of poor pregnant Pearl Bryant was thrown after her lover decapitated her. He allegedly made an offering of her to head to the Devil. It is said that his presence is felt in the basement. The team did a couple of EVP sessions in this area; sounds can be heard on our recordings. A soft growl was heard by a couple members of the team in this area. The staircase that leads to nowhere which is called the “stairway to Heaven” is right next to the well called the “porthole to Hell”. In the back of this area is a jail cell. If you continue on through this room you come to the “room of faces”. The walls in this room are very thick, making it the perfect place to keep meat, execute your enemies and store dead bodies. All of this was in the rooms past. In the present there are shadow figures, voices and an unknown entity that likes to make contact with investigators in the room. Glowing red eyes can be seen at the top of the room. On this night we attempted to make contact by using a spirit box and the Ovilus. The team had a couple of night vision camcorders, a night vision digital camera and several digital voice recorders going. There was not much coming out the spirit box, but an unseen energy could be felt moving about the room. One of our female investigators felt something touching her legs, all cameras moved towards her and a white orb can be seen moving away from her. One of the female team members asked to be touched, poked or even scratched. Our team leader who was filming with a camcorder suddenly asked if there was a bug on his neck. Again all cameras moved towards him. He moved his hand up to his neck to brush off the unseen insect. He reported a burning feeling. We turned on the flashlight and there were two big red scratches on his neck. We documented this immediately. A photo of the scratch will appear in Ms. Wanda’s upcoming book. We continued on with the session. You could still feel the energy in the room, like something was darting back and forth. We would come back down once more during the evening but with no results. We returned upstairs and finished the night sitting and digesting what we have seen, heard and experienced. We sat next to the stage on the red couches again. It was an amazing active visit to the most haunted bar in the United States. The team again worked together like a well-oiled machine. Each investigation gets better and better. We met some awesome people and learned more about ourselves and the paranormal community. There is definitely something that exists there, but whether or not it is evil is not clear. We experienced more activity in one evening than some people experience in a lifetime. This trip to Bobby Mackey’s Music World is one we will not soon forget!!

Stanley Hotel by Luci Leibfried High up within sight of Rocky Mountain National Park is the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. This is a jewel of a hotel with a little bit extra. That little bit extra happens to be several known ghosts and quite a few that no one is quite sure who they are. I had the opportunity to stay at the Stanley for the first time this past week. I was amazed when I arrived. The location, the mountains and most of all the beauty of this hotel takes your breath away. There is the main building, all white with a red roof. Lights twinkle in the evenings all around the edge of the roof, making the building look like a Christmas scene. There is a wonderful veranda, with white wicker chairs and couches to sit and gaze at the Rockies or watch the sunrise. There is the main lobby, all wood and stately. The fireplaces are warm and inviting. Leather couches all make it the perfect place to sit and hang with friends, both new and old. The walls and ceilings are framed with wood, mirrors and decorative touches which speak of someone's love, care and talent when the decor was chosen. The main stairway is famous on its own, to Jim Carrey fans as it was featured in the movie "Dumb and Dumber". Jim Carrey himself stayed in the stately Stephen King suite, room 217. I stayed in the room too, but that is another story I will share later on. The elevator is old fashioned, but so elegant. You can imagine the fancy people who rode the elevator as they retired to the upper floors to go to bed after dinner or some sort of society affair. There is a small courtyard with a tiny waterfall in the back. There are four floors that have a different feel as you walk down each hall. Creaking sounds as you walk...one cannot be sure if it is the old building settling or if it is an unseen pair of eyes watching you as you walk to your room. Noises happen in the rooms too. Again, you cannot be sure if it is the building or Mr. Stanley himself. The rooms all have a personality, a feeling each one different from the rest. There are the haunted rooms everyone knows about, 217, 401, 418 and 1302, but there are countless more that have some sort of paranormal activity. I was lucky enough to be there with the most wonderful friends in the world. I was able to actually sleep in two of the haunted rooms because of their generosity. I will share more on that later. The second and third floors have the spirits of the guests who stay in the hotel, for some unknown reason to this day. I had the opportunity to have a conversation with one of them. Why do they stay? Possibly for the beauty of the hotel, or could it be that some other force keeps them there. The bathroom in the rooms are lovely, with fixtures which are so gorgeous they make bathing an experience just because of the air of luxury oozes from every little touch Mrs. Stanley added. I sat in a lot of the bathrooms in the dark taking pictures...I was looking for activity...lol! There is the fourth floor, where the servants stayed. This is the floor where unseen children are heard playing in the halls. Where Lord Dunraven had his party room 401. There is room 418. That room has a creepy feel and something in there that you suspect is not very nice. There are several meeting rooms on the first floor. The music room where Mrs. Stanley is known to play the piano until someone peeks in at here. the billiard room, where the female ghost still keep up the old fashion ways waiting for the man of the room to grant them permission to speak. There is a bar, again seen in Dumb and Dumber and then there is is the restaurant. Drinks with friends in the bar on Wednesday, dinner with those same friends later that week in the restaurant.....all of this made this trip one of the best ever. The basement has a bathroom which is known to be haunted. It has a empty feel when you first walk in, but all of a sudden you realize, even though you cannot see anyone, there is definitely some one else in the room with you. A small cafe with little tables, a cozy couch and Starbucks are down there, along with ghost fish (lol), a small model of the Stanley, a weight room and Madame Vera. Madame Vera is the hotels resident psychic. A tall wonderful woman with sparkling eyes and a white main of hair, she was featured on the Stanley Hotel episode of Ghost Adventures. This Chicago born woman reads the cards for the guests who come to the hotel. She is amazing, being spot on with her observations and messages from the spirits who surround her.There are more buildings on the compound. There is the Manor House, where the rooms are more modern. Where Ghost Hunters had a table move on them in room 1302, another haunted room where I was lucky enough to sleep and have a spirit call our group a few names. There is the concert hall where Lucy hides from the crowed of people who come into the building where she died, a poor homeless woman who froze to death. There is also the carriage house, featured in the Ghost Adventure episode, but now closed to the public. So off limits, that guests must sign a wavier stating they must not set foot inside the building or be removed from the hotel.All of this is so much to take in when you get to the hotel. The hotel calls to you with its beauty, but it doesn't even give you a hint at the hidden secrets it holds. Be patient my friends, I will share more of this experience with you. I am still sitting here remembering and reliving an amazing trip. A trip which truly has changed my life. It has opened up my vision of myself, people and the other side. The more I think about it, the more I cannot wait to go back.One should always have a digital recorder when ghost hunting. It is a simple rule that I did not follow. I have put off buying one because I was so focused on everything else. Work, planning this trip, making sure the house was clean and stocked with food before I left....I just did not buy a digital recorder. It is one of a few lessons I learned while at the Stanley. The first night of the event was the meet and greet and the charity auction. Anyone who has been at an event knows how crazy the auction can get. Several items of Zak and Aaron's clothing were auctioned off to adoring fans for quite a bit of money. A belt which Dave Schrader promised you could take off with Zak with your teeth, a shirt that Aaron wore, Zak's jacket. Some signed prints, some Redrum and or course the private ghost hunts with the celebrities. Of course the bidding was hot and heavy. Of course the hunts went for big money. There was something additional being auctioned off this night. Room 217, 401, 1302 and 418 were being auctioned off to the highest bidder so that they could spend the night in the room! One of my friends bid on room 217. He won it. We were beside ourselves with excitement. It was so hard to believe we would actually be able to go and spend time in that room. It was a scary thought, I amost backed out but I had to go to that room. Another member of our group was bidding on room 401 and she won it. I tried to bid on room 1302, but was outbid by $20. Room 217 is the Stephen King suite. It the room where Stephen King stayed in when he came to the Stanley and where he wrote the Shining. He dropped off his luggage after he arrived. When he returned to the room, all of his things had been unpacked and hung up. The room is also where Jim Carrey attempted to stay while filming at the Stanley. He stayed in the room for three hours then came downstairs and checked out, not telling anyone why. The room is said to be haunted by Mrs Wilson, a housekeeper, who had an accident in the room. She could not work after her accident, so as a result Mr Stanley took care of her and her three children. She stayed at the Stanley for the rest of her life. The room is alleged to be the site of ghostly happenings, where doors open and close, things make noise in the bathroom and the closet has an creepy feeling. By the time we got there the door of the closet had been removed. We all headed up to the room. It is a beautiful room. There is a king size four poster bed, with rich looking bedding and pillows. There is a dresser to one side with a mirror. A potted fern stands in a corner. Two night stands with lamps sit on each side of the bed. A comfortable puffy chair sits in a corner. There is a beautiful wooden desk in another corner. There is an upholstered bench in front of the bed. A large flat screen reminds you that it is current day and not another time long ago. There is a cabinet with glass doors under the TV holds almost all of the books written by the author the room is named for. The bathroom contains a beautiful claw foot tub. There is a hand held shower attachment surrounded by a shower curtain that somehow seems like someone could be hiding in back of it. The sink is gorgeous, The light fixtures shine bright and beautiful. We started up the equipment, the digital recorders, the cameras, video, PX box and the spirit box. We ran the equipment asking for a response. We spread out around the room. Some of us on the bed, one in the chair and some standing. I was immediately drawn to the desk. I plopped down, pulled out my spirit box started it up and hoped for the best. We got some responses, we got a name...Peter. No apparitions, no movement. There was a guy who came into the room with us and who at one point claimed that something was happening to him. You could hear his breath becoming shallow his voice became panicked. He decided to leave the room. We kept it up and decided to, move to 401 to investigate. We went to 401 for a while and then returned to 217 after some of our party fell asleep in 401. We again tired to get a response, but nothing. There were three if us left. Two off them fell asleep, I stayed awake. I could not close my eyes. I could feel something but I just wasn't sure what it was. I sat and played with the tablet I brought. I kept my spirit box running, but nothing. Eventually one got up and left the room, then the other decided to go back to 401, leaving me alone in 217. I was so grateful that I was allowed to remain in the room. My friend paid for that room, but he was more than generous and let us stay there. He should have kicked us out. I will be forever in his debt for this. All night sitting at the desk there was a cold spot to my right. I continued to sit there when I was alone. There is a window right there, but I checked, no drafts were coming through. I had taken my shoes off. My toes were frozen. I figured it was just the room cooling down, but my feet were so cold. I started to get sleepy. I was getting no response from the siprit box. I figured what the heck I am going to sleep. I shut down the spirit box and said out loud "I have to get some sleep, even if it is only for a few hours. It has been so cold in this room, could you please make it warm so I can take a nap?" I walked over to the bed pulled the covers back and laid down and closed my eyes. I slept for about 2 hours. I woke up and ran over to the desk. The floor was warm! It was not anywhere as cold as when I laid down. the thermostat read 70 degrees. The area by the desk was definitely colder than 70. I turned on the spirit box and sat down. Now this is the part where I felt like an idiot for not having a recorder. I asked if there was anyone there who wished to communicate with me. The box made noise. I was not sure what it said but it was something. I asked, what are you called? "Phillip". The voice was definitely male. It had an accent that sounded British to me. It was clear. It was amazing. We had gotten the name Peter before, but I don't think it was right. It might be why we did not get a response. The entity may not have liked a crowd. I asked if Phillip would be willing to speak with me. "Certainly". I am so buzzed at this moment. The rush I felt is hard to explain. I had gotten two distinct answers from the spirit box. The cold feeling came back on the right side of the desk. I realize I have no recorder. I needed someone to witness what was happening. I asked Phillip if it would be alright if I called a friend to come to the room to sit with me. "Certainly" . I call one of my friends on the my cell. "Jan, you have to come down to room 217 NOW. I need you to hear what I am hearing! Please!" She came down to the room. She sat on the bench in front of the bed. I told her what had happened and we both proceeded to ask questions. How old are you? No response. Where are you from? "England". We both freak out. We are giggling like crazy. I tell the voice how I am fascinated with the Tudor family and English history. I ask if he knows the stories. "yes". The spirit box is now stopping on bits of music. Short bursts of song are coming iut of the spirit box. Phillip are you playing music for us? "yes". Do you like music? "yes". Do you like us? "yes". Phillip can you touch me? "Without a doubt." I want to cry. I am so happy. I feel the cold on my right arm. The hairs stand up. It was awesome. Phillip an you touch Jan? "too hard". Too hard? We quickly switched spots. Jan sat at the desk and asked Phillip to touch her. She feels cold. Freezing. She tells him how cold she is. "sorry love". We cannot believe the responses coming out of the spirit box. The accent is definitely British. The answers sound dated, like from another time. At one point, I cannot remember if it was during this session or earlier when my other friends were in the room when the word "chambermaid" was heard. I ask Phillip if I can take a photo of him and Jan. "only one". I grabbed my camera and took a picture. The picture was fine. There was no visible signs of something there besides Jan. We asked a few more questions. Do you like us? "yes" Would you like us to stay? "yes". Can we come back and see you? "yes". Do you prefer older or younger people? "older". At this point it is getting late, check out time is coming fast. I don't want to leave the room. This is one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. I turn and look at the spot where I think Phillip is. I tell him how later on that night, there will be people coming into the room. Lots of people. They may be noisy, they may disturb you. I cannot stop them from coming into the room, but I can warn you of what is going to happen. All of a sudden a woman's voice comes out of the spirit box..."THAT'S RIDICULOUS!". We look at each other. I think we have found Mrs. Wilson. I don't think she liked the thought of the ghost hunt coming into the room later that day. We decide we need to leave the room. We say goodbye to the voice called Phillip. No response. We promise to come back, one that night and the other the next night. No response. The spirit box is no longer pausing, just white noise continuously. I gathered my things and prepared to leave the room. I want to cry, I did not have a recorder. I still can hear the voice in my head now. I had just experienced something amazing and I have no proof, except for what my friend heard. I am convinced what we heard was real. I know Phillip is there at the Stanley and he has been there for quite a while. I was lucky enough to meet him in room 217. I can now say that I lasted longer in room 217 than Jim Carrey did. I had an experience I will never forget. I had a wonderful night in that room with a British gentleman. A gentleman from the other side..
